Doomsday in Israel: Escaping the Supernova Music Festival
October 7, 2023, was a day of great crisis for Israel as terrorists launched a brutal attack, resulting in the deaths of 360 festival-goers and a mini Holocaust in the southern part of the country, including at the Re’im Supernova Music Festival.
Roi Assaraf and his wife Yonah were among the lucky survivors, managing to escape the massacre and reunite with their two daughters. They were at the festival for a weekend-long outdoor trance music event when the attack occurred, carried out by Hamas terrorists who infiltrated the border fence between Gaza and Israel.
Roi has since embarked on a world tour to share his harrowing survival story with others, speaking at an event in Beverly Hills, California, where he recounted the events that unfolded on that fatal day.
Despite the chaos and danger, Roi and Yonah were able to make it out of the festival grounds, thanks to what felt like a guiding force leading them to safety. As they fled, they encountered others in danger and managed to help save lives along the way.
Their story is a testament to the hope and survival that can be found, even in the face of unimaginable danger. Roi’s experience serves as a reminder of the tragic events that occurred on October 7, 2023, and the enduring impact it has had on the lives of those who managed to survive.
